Andrea Vitaletti, Ph.D. in Computer Science. He is currently Assistant professor at the University of Rome “La Sapienza”. His current research interests concern the design and the analysis of efficient algorithms and protocols for resource constrained networks (mainly distributed and localized algorithms) and their application to wireless sensor networks. He has been involved in a number of EU industrial and research projects as researcher and PI and he has been the coordinator of the FET OPEN project PLEASED on the use of plants as bio-sensors. In 2002 he founded the SME WLAB where he is currently the CTO and leads the project PAGE on smart technologies for elderly. In 2012 he founded the spin-off of “La Sapienza” WSENSE.
