Pierangelo Garino

Pierangelo Garino received the degree in Computer Science at University of Torino, Italy, in 1990. He joined Telecom Italia in 1983 and he is currently involved in the Strategy & Innovation group. Since the beginning he was involved in research and innovation activities, including EU cooperative projects, concerning the methodologies, design and test of integrated circuits, the adoption of short range wireless technologies and devices in various application domains like eHealth and energy efficiency. Recently he focused on the secure digital identity management, and on the Future Internet partnership programme FI-PPP within EU’s FP7, where he coordinates the technical chapter of advanced middleware and interfaces to devices and robotics of FIWARE.
